Narrative moves crypto prices, often ahead of any on-chain evidence. Kaito's premise is that narrative can be measured: index what is being said across platforms, rank it by reach and engagement, and surface what is gaining attention before it shows up in price.
What it provides
Search across crypto media including podcasts and research, mindshare rankings by project and sector, and tracking of which accounts drive discussion. For fund managers and researchers, having a systematic view of what the market is paying attention to is a legitimate input.
The contamination problem
Kaito operates campaigns that reward users with tokens for posting about specific projects, ranked by its own engagement metrics. That means the platform pays people to generate the attention it then measures and sells as a signal. The conflict is structural, disclosed, and rarely acknowledged by users citing mindshare figures.
Methodology
Scoring internals are not published, so the relationship between raw engagement and reported mindshare cannot be evaluated. Given that engagement in crypto is manufactured at scale, that opacity matters more here than in most analytics products.
Who should use it
Researchers and traders who want a systematic attention signal and will discount for the incentive contamination. Anyone treating mindshare rankings as organic demand is misreading them.
