OBOL runs on tips, disagreement and the occasional angry email, and we'd rather you send those to the right desk than shout into a general contact form that nobody reads until Thursday. Below is every route into the newsroom, sorted by what you actually need.
News tips and story leads
If you've spotted something worth reporting - an exploit in progress, an unusual on-chain movement, a leaked term sheet, a regulatory filing nobody else has clocked yet - send it to [email protected]. We take source protection seriously: tell us upfront if you need anonymity and we'll route the conversation to Signal rather than email. We verify everything independently before publishing and won't name a source without explicit permission.
Corrections and factual queries
Spotted an error, an outdated figure, or a claim that doesn't match the primary source? Email [email protected] with the article link and what you think is wrong. We read every message and will either fix the piece with a logged correction or explain why we stand by what we wrote. This is the fastest way to get a genuine mistake fixed - faster than a public callout, usually.
Press releases and embargoed material
Send announcements, embargoed briefings and press kits to [email protected]. Please state the embargo time clearly in the subject line and give our reporters reasonable lead time - a same-day embargo dropped at 6pm on a Friday will not get the coverage you're hoping for. We do not guarantee coverage of any submitted release; newsworthiness is decided by the desk, not by the sender.
Advertising and sponsorship
For media kits, sponsored content proposals, and advertising rates, contact [email protected]. All commercial arrangements are reviewed against our disclosure policy before anything runs, and our commercial team has no influence over editorial decisions - if that's a dealbreaker for a pitch, it's a dealbreaker we're comfortable with.
Legal, licensing and syndication
Requests to republish or syndicate our journalism, rights queries, and legal correspondence should go to [email protected]. For licensing our data visualisations or charts for external use, use [email protected] instead - it's a smaller team and gets read faster.
Privacy and data requests
Questions about cookies, personal data we hold, or requests to exercise your data protection rights go to [email protected]. We aim to acknowledge these within five working days.
Desk contacts
For specific beats, you can also reach our correspondents directly: markets and trading desk queries to [email protected], protocol and infrastructure stories to [email protected], and regulatory or policy questions to [email protected]. These inboxes are checked by the relevant editorial team, not a general assistant, so you'll usually get a sharper answer faster than going through the general line.
Postal and registered office
OBOL Media operates on a fully remote editorial model with staff across London, Lisbon and Singapore; we do not maintain a public office for visitors. Formal legal correspondence should be sent via [email protected], which will provide a registered address on request.
