For watching a new pair trade, DEX Screener is where most on-chain traders live. Charts update in real time, liquidity and volume are visible per pool, and the security panel surfaces basic red flags — mint authority, liquidity lock status, holder concentration — without leaving the page.
What the flags do and do not mean
The audit and security indicators are heuristic checks on contract properties: can new tokens be minted, is the liquidity locked or burned, how concentrated are holdings. They catch obvious traps and they are not an audit. A token can pass every check and still be a coordinated exit; the checks establish the absence of the crudest failures, nothing more.
Promoted listings
Projects pay for banner placement and boosted visibility. This is disclosed, and it sits in the same interface as organic trending data, which means a token appearing prominently may have bought that position. Read placement as advertising unless the volume and liquidity data support it independently.
Coverage and cost
Dozens of chains, essentially every meaningful DEX, updated in near real time, free. Paid features exist for projects rather than traders, which is an unusual and honest monetisation choice for a tool of this reach.
Who should use it
Anyone trading on-chain. Pair it with Bubblemaps for holder analysis before entering anything new, and treat the trending list as what it is — a mix of genuine activity and paid placement.
