Rarible was one of the first NFT marketplaces and one of the first to issue a governance token. It kept royalties when the market moved against them and aggregated listings from other venues to remain useful.
What it still does well
Multi-chain support across Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, Immutable and others, with royalties honoured by default. Its aggregation means items listed elsewhere are visible, so it functions as a discovery layer even where trading happens on another venue. The white-label marketplace product is used by projects wanting their own storefront.
The liquidity problem
Native trading volume is minimal. Listing on Rarible alone means very few people will see it, and buying here usually means executing against a listing sourced from another marketplace. That is functional and it is not a market in its own right.
Strategic direction
Much of the company's energy now goes into infrastructure — the aggregation API and white-label products — rather than the consumer marketplace, which is a reasonable response to losing the consumer race.
Who should use it
Creators who want royalties honoured and listings syndicated, and projects wanting a white-label storefront. Traders will find nothing here.
