Real-world assets

Tokenisation represents a claim on an off-chain asset as a transferable token. Treasuries and private credit have gained genuine traction because the underlying is standardised and the yield is easy to state; property has proved much harder.

The risk sits in the gap between the token and the claim: who custodies the asset, what the legal structure entitles you to, and whether you can actually redeem.
