Bitcoin Holds Above $80K as U.S. ETF Inflows Hit Day Seven — Solana Funds Set Record $1.22B
U.S. crypto ETFs are on a historic run: bitcoin funds have pulled in fresh capital for a seventh straight day as BTC holds above $80,000, while Solana ETFs just posted their biggest inflow of the year and crossed $1.22 billion in cumulative investment.
Bitcoin Holds Above $80K as U.S. ETF Inflows Hit Day Seven — Solana Funds Set Record $1.22B
U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds are on their longest inflow run in months. On August 24, these funds absorbed over $337 million in a single session — the sixth straight day of positive flows — helping bitcoin hold its position above the $80,000 mark for the first time since May. Ether products joined the rally too, pulling in more than $115 million on the same day, while every major listed crypto asset in the U.S. ETF market recorded net inflows.
Analysts note the current rally follows a wave of short-position liquidations that forced traders betting against the market to close out, adding fuel to the upward move. While that kind of forced buying tends to fade once positions are cleared, the sustained, multi-day ETF inflow streak suggests demand is coming from more than just short covering — institutional allocators appear to be building fresh, longer-term positions.
Solana ETFs Post a Record Milestone
Alongside bitcoin's run, Solana-linked investment products are having their strongest stretch since launch. U.S. spot Solana ETFs took in $33.5 million on Monday alone — their largest single-day haul of the year — marking a fifth consecutive day of inflows and pushing cumulative net investment in these funds to an all-time high of $1.22 billion.
Bitwise's Solana Staking ETF (BSOL) is driving most of that momentum, accounting for roughly 80% of all capital that has flowed into U.S. spot Solana products to date. The fund's ability to combine direct spot exposure with on-chain staking rewards has made it a standout choice for investors seeking regulated access to Solana without self-custody. Trading volume across Solana ETFs also climbed to its highest level since late last year, another sign that interest is broadening beyond a handful of early adopters.
What This Means for the Market
Taken together, these two data points point to the same underlying trend: institutional capital is flowing back into regulated U.S. crypto products at a pace not seen in months. Bitcoin's ETF streak shows renewed confidence at the top of the market, while Solana's record inflows suggest that appetite is spreading to altcoin-linked funds as well — particularly those, like BSOL, that offer yield-bearing exposure.
For investors watching the space, the key signal isn't the single-day headline numbers but the consistency of the streaks. Multiple consecutive days of inflows across different asset classes — bitcoin, ether, and Solana all posting gains in the same sessions — typically reflects a broader shift in sentiment rather than a one-off event tied to a single catalyst.
